PATAGONIA SUPERBERRY 70%
Description
PATAGONIA SUPERBERRY 70%
This chocolate bar is one of a kind in flavor and quality. We source the Maqui Berries from our friends at Rishi Tea and Botanicals in Milwaukee who receives them from the Chilean Patagonia territory. Maqui Berries are organically-certified wild-harvest goods that require foraging to procure. These crops do not grow well in cultivated plantations. Rishi Tea works with collectors, who in turn work with regional landowners to pinpoint where these fruits are growing.
This berry flavored chocolate delicately melts and dazzles your tastebuds. Made with the Trinitario bean we added some Patagonia Super Berry tea from Rishi to bring complexity of flavor and nutrients.
Extensive research about maqui suggests that it targets its effects to lower LDL cholesterol, increase metabolism, reduce fat, and support detoxification of the liver. At 19,850, Maqui Berries have a higher antioxidant value than pomegranate, acai, and blueberry, measured as ORAC value.

PATAGONIA SUPER BERRY TEA
This delicious superfruit blend features wild-harvested maqui berries, a rare and amazing berry from the forests of the Chilean Patagonia that is celebrated by nutritionists for its unique array of purple phytonutrients.
Maqui has a deep flavor, reminiscent of dark cacao, which blends so beautifully with blueberries, raspberries and red wine grape skins in this sumptuous berry blend.
Maqui is also known as the Chilean or Patagonian wine berry. Historically, maqui berries have been consumed by the indigenous people in Patagonia and have a reputation as an invigorating berry, promoting longevity. Locally, maqui is fermented into a wine, sun-dried to make tea, or made into jams and syrups.
